Shakira’s new track ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ has made a grand entrance, claiming the top spot on both the Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts.

Shakira is making waves on Billboard’s charts with her newest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. This marks her twelfth studio album in a career spanning four decades. The album has debuted at the top spot on both the Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts as of April 6th. Additionally, it has entered the charts at No. 2 on Top Album Sales, No. 4 on Vinyl Albums, and No. 13 on the overall Billboard 200 chart.

Shakira’s latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, was released on March 22 by Sony Music Latin and has earned a total of 34,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during the tracking week of March 22-28, as reported by Luminate. Out of this sum, 19,000 units were from streaming, accounting for 26.73 million official on-demand streams of the album’s songs. Album sales made up nearly 15,000 units, with the remaining 500 units coming from track-equivalent album units. This marks Shakira’s seventh No. 1 album on the Top Latin Albums chart, making her the first woman to achieve this milestone across four decades. Only one other artist, Alejandro Fernández, has accomplished a similar feat. Additionally, Shakira now holds the tie with Jenni Rivera and Selena for the most No. 1 albums by a woman on the Top Latin Albums chart. Las Mujeres has also debuted at No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart, selling 15,000 copies in its opening week. The album has entered at No. 4 on the Vinyl Albums tally, selling 6,000 vinyl LPs – marking Shakira’s first top 10 entry on that chart. Three new songs from Las Mujeres have made their way onto the Hot Latin Songs chart, with “Puntería” featuring Cardi B leading the pack at No. 3. This marks Shakira’s highest debut on the chart since “TQG” with Karol G premiered at No. 1 in 2023. The Hot Latin Songs chart ranks the most popular Latin songs of the week based on a combination of streaming, airplay, and sales data.

“Puntería” debuted at No. 3 on the Hot Latin Songs chart thanks to its impressive streaming numbers and radio airplay. The single, the eighth from the album, garnered 6.6 million streams in the U.S., securing a spot at No. 6 on the Latin Streaming Songs chart. Additionally, “Puntería” saw 3,000 digital downloads in the same week, leading to a No. 1 position on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart and a No. 10 placement on the overall Digital Song Sales chart.

In the meantime, the song “(Entre Paréntesis),” featuring Grupo Frontera, has reached the 22nd spot on the charts. Additionally, her latest collaboration with Rauw Alejandro, titled “Cohete,” has debuted at No. 48, following their previous hit “Te Felicito” which peaked at No. 10 in 2022.
